News from the 2025 vintage<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

Everything came together for the 2025 vintage. Ideal weather\u2014both warmth and rain\u2014combined with an early yet serenely paced harvest, has given rise to a truly remarkable year.<\/p>\n

Climatology update<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The growing season unfolded smoothly, with a uniform flowering at the end of May and a consistent veraison in early August.<\/p>\n

After a rather dry, sunny summer punctuated by two significant heatwaves at the end of June and mid-August, the vines remained in excellent shape. They drew upon the winter water reserves stored deep in the gravel soils and subsoils of Ch\u00e2teau Malartic-Lagravi\u00e8re, producing grapes of beautiful ripeness while preserving fine acidity.<\/p>\n

Whites with outstanding vibrancy<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Sauvignon Blanc harvest began on August 26, followed the next day by a few parcels of S\u00e9millon. In just two weeks, the whites were all in, with superb fruit that benefited from the welcome rains of the final weekend of August. On the palate, the white wines are flavorful and dense, already showing stunning aromatic expression and freshness, with beautifully balanced profiles.<\/p>\n

After a few spells of rain at the end of August, September brought perfect weather\u2014cool mornings and warm afternoons. The vines were in peak condition, and the grapes reached perfect maturity as harvest approached.<\/p>\n

Promising reds<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Merlots were picked from September 9 to 20. Harvesting of the Cabernet Sauvignon began on September 18 with a first parcel of young vines, continuing serenely after the light rains of September 21, under radiant sunshine until the first days of October.<\/p>\n

An exceptional vintage is clearly in the making! The berries, small but healthy, were picked at ideal ripeness. Extraction was easy, and the first tastings are highly promising\u2014marked by striking brightness and freshness. Aromatic and beautifully structured, the wines display both generosity and poise. With full-bodied yet refined concentration, they show a graceful, flowing style and an elegant, oceanic finish. Without a doubt, 2025 will stand among the landmark vintages of the decade.<\/p>\n
